Overriding Royalty Interest (ORRI) in Oil and Gas Properties in the US

An ORRI also known as a gross overriding royalty (GORR) or term royalty, is a fractional, undivided interest, derived from the working interest. Japan-Mexico Energy Agreements Signed in July 2014

Intangible Drilling & Completion Costs (IDC): US Tax Deduction

The IDC deduction has been allowed in the US since 1913 in order to attract investment capital to the high-risk business of oil and gas exploration. Working Interest in Oil and Gas Properties in the US

A working interest in the right to explore, produce and own oil, gas or other minerals. The working interest is created by leasing rights from the minerals owner.
